Detective Ryan Bell
The Lee County Sheriff's Office had the pleasure of working with the
K9 Forensics Team in February 2005. Sam Pepenella and Mary Peter responded
at the request of our agency to assist in locating a missing person
presumed to have drowned in a lake. Both of the canines used by the
K9 Forensics Team alerted on a particular area of the lake. With the
assistance of the K9 Forensics Team, Detectives and Divers with the
Lee County Sheriff's Office were able to narrow down the search area
of the relatively large body of water. Subsequent to narrowing the search
area, divers located and recovered the body of the missing person. The
K9 Forensics Team members and canines were very professional and were
a pleasure to work with. I would utilize their services again without
hesitation, and likewise would recommend their services to other agencies.

I had the pleasure of certifying the teams of K9 Forensics for NNDDA
Cadaver Search in 2004.I found them all to be very proficient and some
of the best that I have certified and/or trained with. My Department
recently had an occasion to use them at a homicide scene and the case
agent was very impressed with the assistance rendered

Detective Wayne B. Smith
I have had the opportunity to use the K9 Forensics Team for three investigations
in the last two years. The Teams were successful and an integral part
of the investigations that led to the recovery of the victims in all
three cases, two of which were homicides. I consider the Team one of
the greatest investigative assets I have at my disposal. Their professionalism
and eagerness to assist at a moment's notice are second only to their
capabilities.
